MONSTER!!
“Ahhhh!” The child’s screams didn’t even register out loud. He shut his eyes fast and tight, felt his heart beating so hard it was throbbing in his ears, and then he slowly lifted his eye lids again. In shock, the little boy stood there staring into his closet, his mind and eyes confirming what he had seen only seconds before looming within his closet. This thing, this monster, was floating. No feet, no real legs, in fact below the head the monster was undistinguishable, with a cloud of smog, almost, floating around it. Slowly the boy started to take small steps backwards into his room and away from the closet. The monsters dark black eyes closely followed the boys every move, when suddenly, the monster projected its head so far forward it appeared as though its head had left its body. A very foreign sound came from the monster as its head lurched forward, eyes bugged out, and it’s wavy, stringy long hair whipped by. The boy tensed in fear and froze still standing facing the closet. The monsters head had come so close to the boy and then retracted violently back into the closet, slamming the closet doors shut, as a noise had come from the bedroom door. The boy had been so frightened he hadn’t heard the bedroom door creak as it was slowly being opened. When the boy’s mother began to speak from the bedroom doorway, questioning why he was out of bed, the boy was startled but glanced in her direction with a horrid look upon his face. When his mother began to show concern and before the boy could speak, he turned back to look into the closet.
